Prateek Ghosal

Prateek is a part of the founding team that led the creation of Ujala Cygnus Healthcare post acquisition of Cygnus Medicare by Ujala Healthcare in 2019. He drove the investment in Cygnus Medicare, and has since played a pivotal role in helping the group grow from 9 hospitals to 20 hospitals.

As Chief of Strategy, Growth & Digital, Prateek drives the overall strategic initiatives of the group, including M&A and expansion plans, Digital & IT transformation, integrated marketing efforts, as well as the fund-raising initiatives of the company. He is passionate about fashioning and nurturing innovative healthcare models, which can provide affordable healthcare to underserved India, viably.

An ex-banking professional before his move into healthcare, Prateek has advised on M&A, Debt and Private Equity transactions upward of $ USD 1 Billion during his stints at KPMG, Mumbai in the Corporate Finance-M&A team and Yes Bank, Mumbai in the Structured Finance team.

An Alumnus of the Kellogg School of Management, London School of Economics and Delhi University, Prateek is positioning the Ujala Cygnus brand uniquely where it impacts lives by being ‘business as service’.

Outside of work, he is a Trinity Rock trained Drummer and Percussionist and an avid football fan.
