About Dr. Bilal Ahmad Mir

Dr. Bilal Ahmad Mir is a highly skilled Consultant in Gastroenterology with extensive training and expertise. He is a Medical Doctor and Research Scientist who completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine, followed by a DM in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and then a post-DM fellowship in Advanced GI Endoscopy.

Dr. Mir has had his research published in some of the world’s best journals, including NEJM, Lancet, American Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology, Indian Journal of Gastroenterology and others. He is the lead author of the SVIN Trial.

His special interests include MASLD/MASH and advanced endoscopy. Dr. Mir has received prestigious awards such as the Best DM Research Thesis Award (2023), Best Interactive DM award by the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (2023),  and the Young Investigator Award by the Indian National Association of Study of Liver Diseases. His endoscopy skills include UGI Endoscopy and colonoscopy (diagnostic and therapeutic), EVL, EMR, Polypectomy, ERCP (CBD Stone removal, Stenting), EUS. He is currently practising at Cygnus Superspeciality Hospital in Kurukshetra. He is highly regarded by his patients for his compassionate care and endoscopic medical skills.
