
Ujala Cygnus Kicks Off Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan to Empower Women’s Health

The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, launched by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, began today, 17 September. The campaign marks a special journey from the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October. The campaign will be undertaken in close convergence with Poshan Maah, being observed by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
With active participation, Ujala Cygnus has been conducting series of initiatives, including complimentary consultation, free OPD exclusively for women, training program, awareness drives, workshop, and expert-led sessions to empower women and nurture healthier families for a stronger nation. Dr. Shuchin Bajaj, Founder-Director, Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services, stated that during the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar campaign we will provide free healthcare services for all women. The campaign will include free medical camps and hold free lectures and knowledge sessions with a strong focus on prevention and screening of cancer, especially breast cancer and cervical cancer. We shall conduct women’s screenings in every village. Free OPDs for women shall be organised across all our hospitals.
He further highlighted that since nearly one in every two women, it means 50% women in India is diagnosed with anaemia, special anaemia screening camps will be organised. In addition, consultation on joint pain and awareness sessions on eye health will be conducted. All services will be offered completely free of cost.
Dr Bajaj emphasized, “we need to ensure that the women of India remain healthy. When women are healthy, their families are empowered, and with that, our nation continues to progress.”
Ujala Cygnus will be offering a host of free healthcare services and awareness initiatives for women, including: – 17 September: Free OPD for women across all our units – 20 September: Self-defense training program – 24 September: Free PAP smear screening for cervical cancer – 27 September: CPR training session for women – 1 October: Distribution of PAP smear reports and workshop on self-breast examination – Multiple webinars and health talks across all units – 50% off on CBC for all women and senior citizens (60+) throughout the 15 days.
