Dr. Yogesh Kumar

Dr. Yogesh Kumar is a Lead Senior Clinical Embryologist with an M.Sc., M.Phil., PhD in IVF-OBGY and post-doctoral fellowship training in the same field. An embryologist is the specialist who looks after eggs, sperm and embryos in the IVF laboratory, and Dr. Kumar handles every step of this work. His expertise includes ICSI and PICSI (where a single, carefully chosen sperm is placed into an egg to help fertilisation), as well as embryo biopsy and PGT, which checks embryos for certain genetic conditions before transfer.

Dr. Kumar also has special expertise in male infertility, including surgical sperm retrieval (MESA, PESA, TESA, TESE and microTESE) for men who have no sperm in their semen. He freezes and stores eggs, embryos and ovarian tissue to help people protect their fertility for the future. Alongside patient care, he teaches and trains young embryologists and carries out research into clinical embryology and the science behind assisted reproduction.
